Hello and welcome to my little blog, Squeaky Ideas! Thank you so much for stopping by! You can call me Squeaks! I started this blog because I recently realized that after starting and working on several projects at once, (I know, I know it’s not the best path but…well, I don’t wanna give any up) I wanted a way to keep track of it all. Knowing that a lot of creators are in the same boat, I was (and still am) inspired to gather resources and interviews from other creators for this blog. I found that I want to help myself and others succeed in becoming full time After all, us creators gotta stick together!
Since I can remember, I have loved to write, draw and create things in general. After finishing high school, I started my journey by getting an associate's degree at a community college and then a bachelor’s and master's degree at a university. Unfortunately, it was a turbulent journey that was filled with unforeseen obstacles, twists and turns (alas, such is life!). I quickly found out that while I graduated with a few degrees, I was not industry ready. I also found that along with the industry being very volatile, my skill sets were (and are) just not up to snuff, both competition and industry wise.
After some health issues and lots of ups and downs in my life, I figured out I did not want to just be a game developer but a creator in general. I wanted to be finally stable enough to churn out whatever my brain thought of and make it my sole job.
After several, several, difficult years in different jobs, I decided to kick my butt in gear. Enough was enough, I needed to pick myself up and start moving forward again. I needed to create, practice and improve. I appreciate your patience as I not only work on my writing, but with my research and art skills in general. So this year I have started to really buckle down in creating several things. I hope you join me on the creative project journey so we can cheer each other on, learn and grow together! WE GOT THIS!
